Privacy policy
Targetnect books appointments between property owners or managers and local contractors. To do that we handle business contact information. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to tell us to stop.
Who we are
Targetnect is based in Hayward, California. You can reach us at aaryobi@targetnect.com for anything on this page.
Information we collect
If you own or manage a property we call. We collect business contact details: the property name and address, a business phone number, the name and role of the person we speak with, and a business email if one is given. We get this from public sources such as business websites, online directories, and public property records, and from what you tell us on the call. We keep notes about the call, such as whether the property needs work and what kind.
Calls may be recorded for training and quality. Where the law requires it, including in California, our caller tells you at the start of the call. If you prefer not to be recorded, say so and we will continue without recording or end the call, whichever you choose.
If you are a contractor who works with us. We collect your name, company, email, phone, service area, the trades you cover, your electronic signature on our agreement, and a record of appointments we book for you. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
If you visit this website. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies. The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load, as it would for any website using that service. If you pay through the proposal page, Stripe sets the cookies it needs to process the payment and prevent fraud.
How we use it
- To call property owners and managers and ask whether they need contractor services.
- To book, confirm, and if needed reschedule appointments.
- To pass appointment details to the contractor who will attend.
- To bill contractors for booked appointments and keep our financial records.
- To keep a do-not-call list so we honor requests not to be contacted.
- To train our callers and improve how we work.
Who we share it with
We share property and contact details with the contractor we book for a specific appointment, and only for that appointment. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share your information with other contractors, list brokers, or advertisers.
We use service providers to run the business. They process information on our behalf and under contract: a customer database to store records, a calling platform to place and record calls, an email provider, a web host, and Stripe for payments. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Asking us not to call
Tell the caller you do not want to hear from us again, or email aaryobi@targetnect.com with the phone number we reached. We add it to our internal do-not-call list within one business day and stop calling that number. We also check our calling lists against the National Do Not Call Registry where it applies to the numbers we call.
Your rights, including under California law
Wherever you are, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights formally, along with the right to know how your information is used and shared and the right not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
To make a request, email aaryobi@targetnect.com. We will confirm who you are by replying to the contact details we have on file, and respond within 45 days.
How long we keep it
Call notes and property records are kept while they are useful for booking appointments, and are reviewed and cleared at least every two years. Do-not-call entries are kept indefinitely so we never call the number again. Contractor agreements and billing records are kept for seven years to meet tax and accounting rules. Call recordings are kept for no more than one year.
Security
Records are stored in password-protected systems with two-step verification, available only to the people who need them for their work. Payments go directly to Stripe over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care, and we will tell affected people promptly if something goes wrong.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Changes that affect your rights will be announced on this page before they take effect.
